Tasawwur Islam practice with explanations

You have studied the terms and want to know if you can use them without your notes.

These eight original questions start with telling terms apart and end with a full supported response. Write each answer on paper before you open the explanation.

This set is part of SPM subjects and learning resources. The timed original practice session builder helps you keep each sitting short.

Questions

1. Match each working question to a term: (a) What does a person believe? (b) How does a person behave toward others? (c) What is practised as guidance?

Choose from akidah, syariah and akhlak.

Answer

(a) akidah, (b) akhlak, (c) syariah. Check the exact definitions in your textbook.

2. Original scenario: a student returns a lost phone to the teacher’s desk. Which term best describes how the student behaves?

Answer

Akhlak, because the scenario describes behaviour toward others: honesty in returning what is not theirs.

3. Why is “she is a Muslim so she has all three” a weak answer to a question on akhlak?

Answer

It lists terms without choosing the one the question asks for, and it gives no detail from the scenario. A stronger answer names akhlak, picks one behaviour from the scenario and explains it.

4. A class treasurer collects RM4 from each of 25 students for a gift. Find the total collected.

The class then buys a gift for RM88. Find the balance left with the treasurer.

Answer

4 × 25 = RM100. Balance = 100 − 88 = RM12.

5. Link the treasurer in question 4 to the principle of amanah in three sentences, using the balance.

Answer

A sample: “Amanah means being trustworthy with what is entrusted. The treasurer reports the RM12 balance and shows the receipt for RM88. This shows amanah because she accounts openly for the money that belongs to the class.”

6. State what makes a scenario response supported, in one sentence.

Answer

It names a principle from the curriculum and a detail from the scenario, and explains how they connect, instead of only giving an opinion.

7. Original scenario: Zul sees a classmate copy answers from another student during a class quiz. The classmate asks Zul to say nothing. Write a stance and one principle to support it.

Answer

A sample: “Zul should encourage his classmate to stop and, if needed, tell the teacher. The principle is honesty, in your textbook’s wording, because copying presents another person’s work as one’s own.” Use the principle name and definition from your textbook.

8. Write a full four-sentence response to question 7, including a detail and a consequence.

Answer

A sample: “Zul should encourage his classmate to stop and tell the teacher if it continues. Honesty means being truthful in work and dealings. The classmate is copying another student’s answers during a quiz, so the marks would not show what he knows. Speaking up protects fair marking for everyone, and it helps the classmate learn properly.”

Confirm the principle and wording with your textbook and teacher.

Common questions

Are these past-paper questions?

No. Every scenario and question here is original and written for practice. They train skills, but they do not show what will appear in any exam.

Which definitions should I use?

Use your current textbook and your teacher's wording. The model answers use short working summaries, so replace them with your textbook's wording when you revise.

How should I write my answers?

Write in full sentences on paper first. Then open the answer and compare the parts: the term, a detail from the scenario and a sentence linking them.

What if my answer is different from the model?

Your wording will differ, and that is fine. Check that the same parts are there: a clear stance or term, a principle, a specific detail and a consequence or link.

If your practice answers name the right terms but do not support them, one-to-one Tasawwur Islam lessons let a teacher work on the link between principle and example with you.
