Our online one-to-one SPM Sejarah tuition gives each student an experienced teacher assigned to them, with lessons that turn recall into relevant, evidence-based answers. The first class is a one-hour trial from RM50, and more than 9,000 students have been helped through our service.
Who Sejarah tuition helps most
Sejarah students rarely lack effort. The marks are lost in three recognisable ways.
- Facts without a link. The student writes everything they know about a chapter, but the question asked for one cause or one effect.
- Answers that stop at “what”. The event is described, never explained, so the higher-order marks are missed.
- Dates and order in a blur. The student cannot tell which event led to which, so explanations contradict the sequence.
The help guide on memorised facts that do not answer the question describes the first problem in a student’s own words.
What a lesson looks like: from source to explanation
Here is an example built on a real event: the Malayan Union, which the British inaugurated on 1 April 1946 1. The practice source below is adapted and shortened in our own words, and its facts are real.
Adapted practice source: Under the Malayan Union plan, the Malay rulers gave up their powers to the British Crown except in matters of religion. Malay opposition grew, and the United Malays National Organisation was formed under Dato’ Onn Jaafar in May 1946 2. The Malayan Union was replaced by the Federation of Malaya on 1 February 1948 1. Question: Explain one effect of Malay opposition to the Malayan Union.
A student who recalls writes: “Malays opposed the Malayan Union and formed UMNO.” The teacher asks three questions instead. What did the opposition make the British do? What did that change for the rulers’ position? What does the source not tell us?
The improved answer has layers. Opposition, organised through UMNO, showed the British that the plan lacked Malay support. The British therefore replaced the Malayan Union with the Federation of Malaya, which restored greater authority to the rulers. The source does not say how other communities responded, so it cannot show the whole picture of the period.
The facts were the same in both answers. What changed was the reasoning between them, and that is what the student practises on new sources until they do it without the prompts.
What one-to-one lessons can and cannot do
Lessons can build reasoning habits, read the student’s answers with them and give feedback straight away. They work best when the student brings a recent answer that lost marks.
A teacher cannot do the remembering for the student, and no teacher can promise a grade. What lessons can do is make revision more efficient, because the student learns which facts an answer actually uses.
How starting works
- Message us on WhatsApp with the form and the chapter or question type that loses marks.
- We assign an experienced Sejarah teacher and arrange the one-hour trial class (from RM50).
- After the trial, you decide whether the teacher is a good fit, and you and the teacher agree the schedule and lesson focus.
Read more about the one-hour trial class and how our online tuition works. Before enquiring, choosing a useful Sejarah lesson focus helps you decide what to bring.

The SPM Sejarah learning guide covers Form 4 and Form 5, and the evidence-to-explanation planner lets you practise the three-step shape above. The prerequisite gap finder can show whether reading or sequencing is the earlier problem.
