Our online one-to-one SPM Turath Al-Quran dan Al-Sunnah tuition gives you an experienced teacher who helps you read a reviewed curriculum text and explain it clearly. The first class is a one-hour trial class (from RM50).

Who this tuition helps

Students of this subject read sacred texts in a demanding language. Three gaps come up again and again, and each can be fixed.

  • Reading without explaining. The student can get through the passage but cannot say what it teaches.
  • Key terms. One unfamiliar word blocks the whole sentence.
  • Linking to the question. The student knows the text but does not select the lines the question needs.

A one-to-one teacher can stop at the exact word where the meaning is lost and work from there.

What a lesson looks like: three passes through a text

This example uses an invented teaching paraphrase, not a prescribed text, to show the method. In the lesson the teacher uses your actual reviewed passage.

Paraphrase: “A trader who is honest in weighing earns the trust of buyers, and trust brings lasting benefit to his business.”

The teacher asks for three passes.

  1. Literal meaning. What does each phrase say? An honest trader, fair weighing, buyers’ trust, lasting benefit.
  2. Central idea. What is the one thing the text wants the reader to take away? Honesty in dealings builds trust and benefit.
  3. Support. Which phrase proves that idea? “Earns the trust of buyers” shows the link between honesty and trust.

The student then writes two sentences: the central idea and the supporting phrase. With a real prescribed passage, the teacher also checks that key terms are explained as your course gives them.

Small steps mean one blocked word no longer stops the whole answer. Practise it with reading a prescribed text for its central idea and supporting explanation and linking a textual detail to a reviewed curriculum concept.

What online lessons can and cannot do

Lessons suit reading support, key-term explanation, central idea practice, answer writing and exam timing. Reading aloud by voice lets the teacher correct your fluency.

Recitation assessments, religious activities and personal guidance remain with your school or qualified authorities. Lessons do not replace study of the text with a qualified religious teacher, and no teacher can promise a grade.

How starting works

Message us on WhatsApp with your form and the passage or topic you find hardest. We assign an experienced teacher and agree the fee with you before the one-hour trial class (from RM50). After the trial you decide whether the teacher is a good fit, and you can ask for another teacher if not.

The trial lesson agenda builder helps you choose a passage to bring. How our online tuition works explains the steps after the trial.

Common questions

What does the teacher do with the prescribed text?

The teacher reads the passage with you, checks the meaning of key terms as your course gives them, and asks you to state the central idea and supporting points. You then write a short explanation and the teacher reviews it.

Does tuition cover recitation and memorisation?

Teachers can coach reading fluency by voice. Any recitation assessment is conducted by your school or a qualified teacher of recitation, and lessons do not replace that.

Can the teacher give personal religious guidance?

Lessons explain the curriculum text for exam purposes. Personal guidance belongs with a qualified religious authority, and the teacher will say so.

What is the cost after the trial?

The first class is a one-hour trial from RM50. The rate depends on the teacher and is the same hourly rate as that teacher's normal classes, and the fee is agreed before the trial. Lessons are usually about 1.5 hours per class.

Can lessons be in Bahasa Melayu?

Yes. Lessons are in English or BM, depending on the subject, and the teacher explains clearly in whichever suits the student. Arabic text stays in Arabic.

If the gap is between reading a text and explaining it, a one-to-one lesson can practise the explanation on your own prescribed passages. Tell us your form and the passage. Parents usually arrange the trial.
