Students across Selangor can take online one-to-one SPM lessons with an experienced teacher assigned for their subject. The one-hour trial class (from RM50) is a real taught lesson.
Why does Selangor’s traffic favour online lessons?
Selangor surrounds Kuala Lumpur and holds dense suburbs such as Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya and Puchong. Roads between them are busy at the hours families would want a lesson, so a short distance on the map can take a long time at 6 pm.
An online lesson starts when the student sits down. The teacher is assigned for the subject, the form and the teaching language.
What about students outside the Klang Valley?
Selangor is more than the suburbs. Districts such as Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor and Kuala Langat are quieter and more rural, and a family there has far fewer in-person choices for a specialist subject.
An online lesson gives a student in Sungai Besar the same format as one in Shah Alam. Only the connection check differs from home to home.
A worked example of reclaiming a commute hour
Here is a worked example. A Form 5 student in Puchong spends the hour after school in a carpool on the way home from co-curricular activities.
He cannot travel to a centre and arrive by 6 pm. He picks Tuesday at 8 pm for a weekly Additional Mathematics lesson at home, after dinner. The time is agreed with the teacher after the trial.
Where should a Selangor family look next?
Each major town has notes of its own, including Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Klang and Kajang. See online SPM tuition across Malaysia for other states, and use the local study-access planner before the trial.
