Project milestone and reflection journal

You are not sure which part of your project to do first.

This journal helps you plan a school-based project as a list of dated milestones, and keep short reflections as you go. It is for students balancing a project with other subjects, who need to see what has to happen before what.

Everything you enter stays on this device.

How do I use it?

  1. Type the project name and a short outline, using the task your teacher has confirmed. Tick the box once you have checked it with your teacher.
  2. Add a milestone with a name, an optional date, and optionally the milestone it must come after.
  3. Note any evidence you are allowed to keep, and a line of reflection or progress.
  4. Read the scheduling checks and the questions list, then tick milestones as you finish them.

How does it work?

Milestones are sorted by the dates you entered. A milestone with no date stays below the dated ones, and no date is ever guessed.

For each milestone that must come after another, the journal compares the two dates. If the later milestone is dated earlier than its prerequisite, it shows a clear warning. If a milestone depends on itself, or the links form a loop, it says so, because no order can satisfy that.

The questions list mixes four fixed questions with prompts built from your own journal, such as how many milestones still have no date.

A short worked example

You add “Collect data” dated 10 March. Then you add “Write analysis” dated 3 March and set it to come after “Collect data”.

The journal warns that “Write analysis” is dated before “Collect data”, the milestone it must come after. You can then fix a date, or ask your teacher which date is correct.

If you clear the date on “Write analysis” instead, the warning becomes a note that the order cannot be checked yet.

What are its limits?

The journal does not know your school’s rules, so every requirement is whatever you typed after confirming it. It does not replace practical supervision, safety instruction, exam registration or any school login.

It is useful for project planning in subjects such as Accounting, Business, Computer Science and Geography, where your school permits it. Do not enter identity numbers or passwords, and use Clear journal on a shared device.

Where does it connect to the rest of your study?

Put your exam dates in the personal exam calendar and countdown so project deadlines and papers sit side by side. For subject ideas, see the Computer Science hub and the Geography hub.

If a project deadline is squeezing your revision time, SPM Computer Science tuition and the other subject pages show how one-to-one lessons work. Each starts with the one-hour trial class (from RM50).

Common questions

Does this journal know my school project requirements?

No. You type the outline yourself after checking it with your subject teacher, and the journal treats it as your confirmed data. It never invents rules, marks or deadlines, and it does not replace what your school tells you.

What happens if I leave a date empty?

The milestone stays without a date and appears after the dated ones. The journal does not guess a date, and it tells you that the order of two milestones cannot be checked until both have dates.

Where is my text stored?

Only in this browser on this device, using local storage. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Press Clear journal to remove every title, outline, milestone and note from the device.

Can this tool write or complete my project?

No. It helps you order tasks and record what you learned. It does not produce project content, evidence or a finished folio, and it does not replace your teacher's supervision.

A teacher working one-to-one can help you plan how to study and revise around a project deadline. The project itself stays your own work, and your subject teacher at school confirms its requirements.

  • Online one-to-one lessons for your child with an experienced teacher.
  • Your first class is a one-hour trial, from RM50. The fee is agreed before you book.
  • Happy with the teacher? Continue with lessons of about 1.5 hours. If not, ask for another teacher.
