Online one-to-one SPM Lukisan Kejuruteraan tuition

Your child can read each view alone, but picturing the whole object is the hard part.

Our online one-to-one SPM Lukisan Kejuruteraan tuition gives each student an experienced teacher assigned to them, with lessons that build spatial interpretation and drawing conventions step by step. The first class is a one-hour trial class (from RM50), with the fee agreed before it starts.

Who does this tuition help?

Engineering drawing rewards careful looking, and marks are lost in a few specific ways.

  • Combining views. The front, top and side views each make sense, but the object does not form in the head.
  • Conventions. Line types, dimensions and labels are used inconsistently.
  • Scale. The student converts a length the wrong way round.

A quiet student who hesitates to ask “is this line right?” in class can ask again and again in a one-to-one lesson.

What does a lesson look like?

Here is an original block, made up for practice.

A block is 40 mm wide, 30 mm high and 20 mm deep. A notch 15 mm wide and 10 mm tall is cut from the top right corner, running the full depth. The front view is drawn at a scale of 1 : 2.

The teacher asks the student to describe each view before drawing.

View What it shows What to notice
Front An L-shaped outline, 40 wide and 30 high The notch appears as a step at top right
Top A rectangle 40 by 20 One line 25 from the left marks the step
Side A rectangle 20 wide Shows depth and height only

The top-view line at 25 mm comes from 40 − 15 = 25. At 1 : 2, the 40 mm width is drawn as 20 mm, and the 30 mm height as 15 mm. The common mistake is to double the lengths instead of halving them, and the teacher asks the student to check that a reduced drawing is smaller than the object.

What can online lessons do, and what stays with the student?

Online lessons cover reading views, drawing conventions, scale and feedback on your drawing. The teacher explains where a line or dimension breaks a convention.

Your own drawing for assessment is made by you, under the conditions your school sets. The teacher does not draw assessed work and cannot promise a grade. Measure from your paper, not from a screen image.

How does starting work?

  1. Message us on WhatsApp with your form and the drawing topic that worries you.
  2. We assign an experienced teacher and arrange the one-hour trial class (from RM50), with the fee agreed first.
  3. After the trial, you decide whether the teacher is a good fit, and can ask for another teacher if not.

The trial lesson agenda builder helps you choose what to bring. How our online tuition works explains the general steps.

Common questions

Will the teacher draw my assessed drawings for me?

No. The teacher explains conventions, checks your reasoning and gives feedback on what you draw. Assessed drawings must be the student's own work, produced under the conditions the school sets.

Can an online lesson work for a drawing subject?

Yes, for explanation and feedback. You talk through your drawing and the teacher responds. Do not measure a drawing from a screen, since the image can be distorted.

I find spatial thinking hard. Is that a problem?

Spatial skill improves with guided practice. The teacher starts with simple blocks and adds detail as you gain confidence.

How much does tuition cost?

The first class is a one-hour trial (from RM50). The fee is agreed with you before the trial at the teacher's hourly rate, and lessons are usually about 1.5 hours, with the schedule agreed with your teacher.

If you can copy a drawing but lose marks when asked to interpret one, lessons practise seeing the object from its views. Tell us whether views, scale or conventions cause the trouble. Parents usually arrange the trial.
