Online Servicing Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Equipment tuition

Online one-to-one SPM Menservis Peralatan Penyejukan dan Penyamanan Udara tuition

Your child has seen the units in a workshop but struggles to explain how cooling works in writing.

Our online one-to-one SPM Menservis Peralatan Penyejukan dan Penyamanan Udara tuition gives each student an experienced teacher assigned to them, with lessons on how cooling systems work and how to explain them. The first class is a one-hour trial from RM50.

Who this tuition helps

Students seek help in this subject for three reasons.

  • Parts without order. The student can name the compressor, condenser and evaporator but not the order they work in.
  • Heat direction. The student says a cooling unit “makes cold”, which does not match how heat moves.
  • Diagram questions. A labelled diagram appears and the student is unsure how to describe what happens at each point.

One-to-one, a teacher can trace the cycle with the student and catch the wrong idea the moment it appears.

What a lesson looks like: following the cycle

Here is a worked example that corrects one common misconception.

A labelled diagram of a simple refrigeration cycle shows a compressor, condenser, expansion device and evaporator. Explain what the evaporator does.

A common answer says “the evaporator makes the inside cold”. The teacher asks where the heat from the food goes.

Component What happens to heat and pressure
Evaporator Refrigerant absorbs heat from inside the fridge
Compressor Raises the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant
Condenser Releases heat to the air outside
Expansion device Lowers the pressure so the refrigerant can absorb heat again

The evaporator does not make cold; it takes heat away from the inside, which leaves the inside cooler. The cycle then carries that heat to the condenser, where it leaves.

The student redraws the cycle from memory, adds an arrow for heat flow at the evaporator and condenser, and writes one sentence per component. The teacher checks the order and the direction of heat.

What one-to-one lessons can and cannot do

Lessons can explain system function, guide diagram reading, practise written answers and give feedback on reasoning. They suit students who bring the questions they lost marks on.

Handling refrigerant, using tools and any assessed practical work stay at school under supervision, and lessons do not teach those procedures.

Common questions

Can online lessons teach how to handle refrigerant or service equipment?

No. Online lessons cover how systems work and why each component matters. Handling refrigerant, using tools and any assessed practical work are learned at school under supervision, following safety rules.

My child struggles with the science behind cooling. Is tuition suitable?

Yes. The teacher starts with heat moving from warm to cool and builds to the full cycle, using labelled diagrams. Each step is explained before the next is added.

How much does it cost?

The first class is a one-hour trial from RM50, and the rate depends on the teacher. The fee is agreed before the trial, and you book only if you are happy with it. Lessons are usually about 1.5 hours a class.

What do lessons use instead of equipment?

Labelled diagrams, cycle sequences and short written questions. A device with internet, paper and a pencil are enough.

Can lessons be in Bahasa Melayu?

Lessons are in English or Bahasa Melayu, depending on the subject, and the teacher explains clearly in whichever suits the student. Tell us your preference when you enquire. Technical terms are taught in the language the exam uses.

If you can point to the parts but lose marks explaining what each one does in the cycle, a teacher can walk the cycle with you until the order is clear. Tell us the topic that feels hardest. Parents usually arrange the trial.
