These eight original questions practise the skills from the Akhlak and exam response lessons. Write your answer before opening each one.
Answers give one acceptable approach. Accepted wording can differ if the value fits, the facts are used and the reasoning is linked.
Questions
Question 1. Name the value shown when a student returns a lost phone to the school office, and state the action in one sentence.
Answer
Value: amanah (and jujur is also acceptable). Action: the student finds a phone near the field and hands it to the office without checking its contents. Credit goes to a named value and a specific action, not only “being honest”.
Question 2. Explain how a student shows hormat to a teacher who is giving instructions.
Answer
Hormat is shown when the student listens without interrupting, answers politely, and follows the instruction given. The result is that the class runs smoothly and the teacher can help everyone. Name the value, give one visible action and finish with a result.
Question 3. The following answer loses marks: “Kindness is good. Everyone should be kind.” Rewrite it using value, action and result.
Answer
Rewrite: “Kindness is shown when a student shares lunch with a classmate who forgot money. This shows kindness because the student gives help without being asked. As a result, the classmate feels cared for and the friendship grows.” The original had a label only.
Question 4. Shafiq is asked to count raffle tickets for a charity event. He finds 40 tickets sold at RM2 each, but the collection tin holds RM76. Identify the value tested and state what Shafiq should do.
Answer
Forty tickets at RM2 give RM80, but the tin holds RM76, so RM4 is missing. The value is amanah, because the money is held in trust. Shafiq should report the RM4 difference to the teacher in charge and help check the count, instead of hiding it or covering it from his own pocket silently.
Question 5. Explain the effect of being punctual on a group project. Use an explanation, an effect and a conclusion, with connectors.
Answer
Model: Being punctual means arriving at the agreed time, because others have planned their time around it. As a result, the group starts on schedule and every member has time to contribute. Therefore, punctuality helps a group finish its work fairly and calmly. Credit is given for each linked part.
Question 6. Nadia sees a friend copying answers during a class test. Choose one value and give a reasoned response that uses the scenario.
Answer
Value: jujur (and amanah for the responsibility to speak up politely). Reason: copying presents another person’s work as one’s own, and the test is meant to show what each student knows. Nadia should remind the friend kindly in private and, if it continues, inform the teacher. The result is fair marking for the class.
Question 7. Proofread and correct: “Rasulullah taught that prayer in a group is for unity so the ummah is strong.”
Answer
Corrections: add the honorific (Rasulullah SAW), use the syllabus term solat, and match the spelling of umat to your textbook. Corrected version: “Rasulullah SAW taught the value of solat in congregation for unity, so the umat is stronger.” Keep the answer in the language of the paper.
Question 8. A neighbour’s rubbish bin is blown over during a storm, and the street is littered. A teenager clears it without being asked. Explain the value and the effect in three linked sentences.
Answer
Model: The teenager shows kindness and responsibility for the shared environment, because the street belongs to everyone. As a result, the neighbour is spared extra work and the street stays clean and safe. Therefore, small helpful actions strengthen neighbourly ties. Credit for a fitting value, the scenario fact of the storm, and a linked effect.
If you got these wrong
If your answers named values without actions, go back to explaining values through concrete actions. If scenario facts were missing, read developing a relevant KBAT answer.
For answers that read as lists, use connecting explanation, effect and conclusion. For wording slips, see checking respectful accurate terminology.
