SPM Pendidikan Islam Form 5 route

You are in the exam year with Pendidikan Islam units unfinished and a paper ahead.

Form 5 is about closing gaps and making answers dependable. This page gives an order of work for that, across the six learning areas of SPM Pendidikan Islam.

If you are still building the basics, the Form 4 route covers the same areas from the start. Your textbook and scheme of work decide which topics sit in which year.

What should I do first in Form 5?

Take stock before revising. Write every unit on a page and mark each one as explained, shaky or not started. The marks guide what to learn first and what to keep warm.

Then use the Pendidikan Islam revision route and checklist to turn those marks into a weekly plan. Check the paper format at lp.moe.gov.my before you finalise it.

How do the areas connect when you revise?

Revision works best when you alternate areas, because it forces recall instead of a repeat reading. The skills behind the areas also overlap.

  • Sequences: Fiqh steps and Sirah events both reward keeping order.
  • Evidence: Hadith and Akhlak answers both need a stated source or action.
  • Terminology: Akidah and Fiqh answers both lose marks on blurred terms.

Use Fiqh learning support and Hadith learning support as your first two stops if sequence and evidence are your weak spots.

One short example: a recall, check and repair cycle

Choose one unit, for example the life events in a Sirah topic. Write the events in order from memory and set a five-minute limit.

Check against the textbook and circle every event that is missing or out of order. Rewrite only the circled events, then test yourself again two days later. A cycle like this finds the small gap and leaves the known parts alone.

Who should start where?

Common questions

I missed units in Form 4. Is it too late to catch up?

Start by listing the units you cannot explain from memory, then rank them by how much marks they carry in your scheme of work. Learn the highest-value gaps first and keep each session short, so the list shrinks week by week.

How should I split revision between recall and practice?

Use recall sessions to fix terms, and practice sessions to fix answer structure. A simple split is to alternate days, then look at your mistake log to decide which kind of session the next one should be.

Where do I confirm the current paper format?

On the Lembaga Peperiksaan website at lp.moe.gov.my and the BPK site at bpk.moe.gov.my. Formats can change between years, so always confirm there instead of relying on notes.

Can lessons predict exam questions?

No. Lessons teach the syllabus and answer skills. Nobody can tell you what will appear, and claims of spot questions are a warning sign.

If some Pendidikan Islam units are still unfinished this year, one-to-one lessons let a teacher sort your gaps by topic and plan a realistic catch-up around your school timetable.

  • Online one-to-one lessons for your child with an experienced teacher.
  • Your first class is a one-hour trial, from RM50. The fee is agreed before you book.
  • Happy with the teacher? Continue with lessons of about 1.5 hours. If not, ask for another teacher.
